The Dishwasher role at Waltonwood plays a crucial part in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and safety within the Culinary Department. This department is responsible for providing nourishing, delicious meals in a warm and inviting setting, making mealtime a memorable event for all residents. The dishwasher works diligently behind the scenes to ensure that all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are kept immaculate and sanitary to support the smooth operation of the culinary team.
This full-time position reports directly to the Culinary Supervisor or Culinary Service Director and focuses on maintaining cleanliness standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and pots using machine and manual cleaning methods. In addition to cleaning, the dishwasher is tasked with sweeping and mopping kitchen floors, managing stockroom cleanliness, and promptly reporting any hazardous conditions to supervisory personnel. The role demands a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and time management skills to efficiently handle all assigned duties without compromising quality.

Job Duties
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine
- sort and stack clean dishes
- carry clean dishes to cook’s line or other proper storage areas
- wash certain pots, pans, trays, dishes and utensils by hand with specified soap and water directed by the Culinary Supervisor or Culinary Service Director
- sweep kitchen floors, ensure kitchen floor is sanitized and take trash out
- mop stockrooms and report any hazardous situations in the kitchen to the Culinary Supervisor or Culinary Service Director
- adhere to all sanitation and safety standards
- assist with all other duties as assigned by the Culinary Supervisor or Culinary Service Director
