As a renowned hotel company with a portfolio of world-class brands, Hilton emphasizes creating an award-winning workplace culture that supports and values every team member. This commitment has earned Hilton repeated recognition on the World's Best Workplaces list by Great Place to Work and Fortune. The company invests deeply in its employees' wellbeing and career growth, creating opportunities for learning, development, and advancement within the hospitality sector.
The Utility Steward position at Hilton plays a vital role in upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and service within the kitchen and dining areas, directly contributing to the exceptional guest experience Hilton is known for. This full-time role involves maintaining spotless serviceware by cleaning chinaware, silverware, and cooking utensils, ensuring pots and pans are scrubbed, and silver is burnished to perfection. Beyond cleaning duties, the Steward is responsible for monitoring stock levels to ensure supplies and equipment are always well-prepared for seamless service, supporting the overall flow of kitchen operations.
In addition to daily cleaning tasks such as mopping floors and trash removal, the Utility Steward supports event delivery by preparing and setting up clean serviceware for banquets and functions. This role also carries a leadership dimension, where experienced Stewards mentor and train new team members to strengthen the performance and cohesion of the stewarding team. The Steward ensures strict compliance with regulatory standards covering health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness to safeguard the wellbeing of both guests and fellow team members.
Hilton values a strong foundation of hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and a proactive approach — qualities fundamental to success in this role. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package to support full-time team members, including paid time off to recharge, various health plans such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, and the Go Hilton Travel Program that offers deeply discounted rooms at Hilton hotels worldwide.
Additional benefits include free life insurance, paid maternity and parental leave, an employee stock purchase plan, crisis concierge services for emotional support, free meals during shifts, convenient free parking, and discounts on a wide range of merchandise through the Perks at Work program. Hilton’s commitment to a positive work environment and employee wellness underscores the importance of the Utility Steward role in maintaining the company’s reputation for exceptional hospitality.

Working as a Utility Steward provides a unique opportunity to contribute to memorable guest experiences while growing professionally within a globally respected brand. Hilton’s passionate and inclusive culture fosters a sense of belonging and pride among its team members, who are the heart of the company’s ongoing success and innovation in the hospitality industry.
