The role available is a part-time, non-management position located in Portland, Oregon within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. This role primarily involves operating and maintaining various cleaning equipment critical to kitchen operations, including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors. The employee will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards by washing and disinfecting kitchen and store areas, tables, tools, knives, and multiple types of equipment. Tasks also include receiving deliveries, properly storing perishables, rotating stock, and ensuring that all clean wares are appropriately stored. A significant part of the role involves meticulous use of detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the three-compartment sink to guarantee the hygiene of all dishes and utensils. Regular inspection and re-washing of items ensure that quality expectations and standards are consistently met. Additional duties encompass sorting, soaking, washing, and re-washing silverware and managing bus tubs and trash areas, including dumpster maintenance.
The position requires adherence to company safety and security policies and mandates prompt reporting of any maintenance issues, accidents, or unsafe working conditions to supervisors. Physical responsibilities include lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended durations, and performing various movements such as bending and twisting to fulfill the role effectively. Job Duties
