As a Dishwasher at Pastini at The Old Mill, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational flow and cleanliness of the restaurant. This position requires dependability and a positive, can-do attitude to support both the front and back of house operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes, pots, pans, and silverware are cleaned efficiently and meet the health department's strict sanitation standards. Furthermore, the role involves comprehensive cleaning duties throughout the restaurant, including the dining areas, restrooms, and outdoor premises such as parking lots and recycling stations.

Key duties will include following detailed cleaning procedures and using prescribed chemicals with precision to avoid waste and maintain hygiene standards. The dishwasher must demonstrate strong organizational skills and 'clean as you go' habits to keep the work areas sanitary and prepared for busy service times. Job Requirements

  • Able to obtain valid food handler's card
  • Ability to arrive to work on time and ready to start scheduled shifts
  • Able to work a variety of scheduled shifts including late hours, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as directed
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Must attend all required staff meetings
  • Willingly and positively follow directions from management, including additional cleaning and sidework
  • Knowledge of health department hygiene regulations
  • Able to stand for long periods and perform physical cleaning tasks

Job Duties

  • Maintain the supply of clean dishes, pots, pans, and silverware
  • Follow all appropriate cleaning procedures as outlined in the training manual and employee handbook
  • Perform daily cleaning of the restaurant including front and back of house, building exterior, trash, recycling, and parking areas
  • Sweep and mop restaurant floors using prescribed techniques and materials
  • Conduct proper daily deep cleaning, sanitation, and stocking of all restrooms including floors, toilets, sinks, dispensers, doors, walls, and exhaust fan covers
  • Execute all regularly scheduled deep cleaning and special cleaning projects as directed by management
  • Assist management and staff with catering deliveries and special assignments as needed
