With a rich history of customer-focused service and a strong commitment to community values, Wegmans has consistently ranked among the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For since 1998. As a company that puts its people first, Wegmans offers a dynamic workplace environment where employees can grow their careers while making a meaningful impact on the lives of customers and the community.
This new Ballantyne location will be a vibrant hub of innovation and quality food offerings where team members play an essential role in delivering exceptional service and an outstanding shopping experience. To ensure a smooth and efficient store opening, employees hired before the official launch will engage in off-site training at existing Wegmans stores in the Greater Raleigh Area, including Cary, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, and Wake Forest. These training sessions aim to provide hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of operations, with hotel accommodations and mileage reimbursements provided for those requiring accommodations during training.
The position of dishwasher at the new Ballantyne store is a vital role within the kitchen operations, requiring dependable and hardworking individuals who contribute to the overall success of culinary services. Dishwashers ensure that all kitchen staff have access to clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies essential for preparing the store's unique culinary offerings. Beyond dishwashing, the role also involves some food preparation tasks, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, assisting with inventory management including receiving products and stock rotation, and ensuring the kitchen environment meets safety and efficiency standards.
Wegmans is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace culture where employees feel valued and empowered. The company provides comprehensive benefits that support employees’ well-being, including paid time off (PTO) to balance personal and professional life, competitive premium pay for overtime and holiday shifts, affordable healthcare coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, and a robust employee scholarship program. Additionally, the LiveWell Employee & Family program offers resources to enhance emotional health, work-life balance, and financial wellness, underscoring Wegmans’ commitment to holistic employee support.
Joining Wegmans means being part of a mission-driven, values-based organization that stands out for its dedication to its people and its community. Employees enjoy access to numerous growth opportunities, training programs, and a workplace culture built on teamwork and mutual respect. As the company continues to expand its footprint in North Carolina and beyond, the dishwasher role provides an excellent entry point into a rewarding career in one of the nation’s most respected food retail companies. Those interested in joining Wegmans at the Ballantyne store will find a workplace where every day presents opportunities to learn, contribute, and thrive in a dynamic and diverse team environment.
