The Dishwasher position is an entry-level role integral to the smooth operation of the restaurant, supporting the kitchen and front-of-house teams by maintaining cleanliness and organization of dishware, equipment, and various restaurant facilities. This role does not include supervisory responsibilities but requires dedication to executing fundamental cleaning and basic food preparation tasks. The dishwasher aids in maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards that are essential to the restaurant’s operational excellence.

Responsibilities include carrying out cleaning tasks such as washing worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks; sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors; and handling trash and waste disposal. The dishwasher will also assist in receiving deliveries and organizing storage areas to ensure a clean and orderly kitchen environment. This role may occasionally involve the use of heavy cleaning equipment and requires adherence to safety and health guidelines. The ability to perform basic food preparations under the direction of kitchen management is also a key aspect of the job.

This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $15.00 to $20.00, with benefits available for full-time employees working over 30 hours per week, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) contributions, life and AD&D insurance, pet insurance, and various employee development programs. Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid form of identification
  • Basic knowledge of English is highly preferred
  • Must have the ability to read, understand and follow both verbal and written company directives and initiatives
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of government policies and regulations
  • Must have the ability to use common sense to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
  • Must have the ability to creatively solve problems in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to stand, walk, reach, handle, manipulate, talk, hear, taste and smell
  • Must be able to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to occasionally sit, climb stairs and maintain balance
  • Must have close, distance, and peripheral vision including depth perception
  • Must have sufficient physical mobility or agility to respond quickly to emergencies

Job Duties

  • Carry out basic cleaning tasks
  • Collect pots, pans, dishes, glassware, flatware to be washed and sanitized and returned to appropriate storage areas
  • Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks
  • Sweep, mop, clean and vacuum floors
  • Break down kitchen for clean up
  • Remove trash and garbage to designated areas
  • Perform daily cleaning of all restaurant’s facilities including restrooms and storage areas
  • Transfer supplies and restaurant equipment from delivery trucks to storage areas
  • Ensure storage areas are clean and organized
  • Clean equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards
  • May be required to buff floors using heavy equipment and steam clean trash cans
  • Perform basic food preparation tasks as directed by kitchen management team
