This position is for a part-time Dishwasher located at Xavier University of Louisiana, with varying shifts and open availability preferred. The pay range for this role is between $15.80 and $23.70 per hour. The Dishwasher role is an essential part of the kitchen and facility operations at Sodexo. As a dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in food production and service areas. Your duties will include washing dishes, cleaning and sanitizing worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks, as well as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to ensure a hygienic environment. You will also be tasked with removing trash and garbage, cleaning equipment with specific chemicals, restocking supplies, and assisting with basic setup and breakdown tasks.
The role demands physical mobility, including significant walking and standing for extended periods, sometimes exceeding 8 hours per shift. It requires the ability to reach, bend, stoop, push or pull, frequently lift up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds. Punctuality and consistency in showing up for your scheduled shifts are important attributes for success in this role.
