About the Role: We are currently hiring full-time and part-time Dishwashers to join our dynamic team. The Dishwasher position is essential to maintaining a clean and sanitary environment within the kitchen and dining areas. This role involves operating industrial dishwashing equipment to wash and sanitize all types of kitchenware, including plates, drinkware, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. Maintaining an organized and hygienic dish room supports the smooth operation of the restaurant, ensuring that staff members have the tools they need to deliver high-quality service.

Key responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and food preparation areas, following proper sanitation procedures, and assisting kitchen staff during peak times with basic prep tasks. Dishwashers are also responsible for equipment upkeep, trash removal, and ensuring compliance with safety standards regarding chemical use and workplace hygiene. This role demands the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and communicate effectively with team members to guarantee operational success.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • must possess a current Food Handler's Card where applicable
  • able to communicate effectively with team members
  • knowledge of chemicals used in the building and ability to use them properly
  • ability to work in warm to very warm kitchen temperatures
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team environment
  • excellent customer service skills and etiquette

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in a food service or restaurant environment helpful but not required

Job Duties

  • Operate industrial dishwasher
  • wash dishes, sweep and mop floors, clean and maintain equipment, sanitize utensils and maintain all restaurant areas
  • maintain kitchen work areas, equipment or utensils in clean and orderly conditions
  • clean food preparation areas, facilities or equipment
  • execute proper sanitation practices and safety procedures
  • place clean dishes, utensils or cooking equipment in storage areas
  • empty and clean all trash receptacles
  • provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, including basic prep
  • load or unload trucks delivering or picking up food or supplies
  • perform opening, closing and side work
  • clean up spills or broken glassware immediately
