Golden Corral is actively seeking candidates for the position of Utility Person / Dishwasher at one of its independently owned and operated franchise locations. This role is integral to the daily operation, focusing on cleanliness, organization, and overall support to ensure that guests enjoy an outstanding dining experience. The Utility Person / Dishwasher is responsible for various tasks directly impacting the cleanliness and safety of the restaurant environment. Duties include maintaining clean dishes, silverware, and glassware, as well as cleaning the interior and exterior areas of the restaurant, including restrooms, the parking lot, and the dumpster area.

In addition to maintaining cleanliness, the Utility Person / Dishwasher is tasked with stocking necessary items such as glasses, silverware, and dishes to support cooks, servers, and line staff. The role also involves monitoring and reporting any equipment or facility problems to management, ensuring that any issues are promptly addressed to avoid disruption of operations.

Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to maintain a fast pace without sacrificing quality are critical for success in this position. The Utility Person / Dishwasher operates within the guidelines set by local health department laws to ensure that the restaurant always meets or exceeds required cleanliness and safety standards.

Job Duties

  • Provides clean, sparkling silverware and dishes to the guest
  • Cleans the inside of the restaurant to provide a pleasant, safe environment for guests and co-workers
  • Cleans around the outside of the building and the parking lot
  • Checks, cleans, and stocks the rest rooms
  • Empties trash into the dumpster and keeps the dumpster, trash cans and back dock area clean
  • Thoroughly cleans and organizes the utility area
  • Performs duty roster and ensures cleanliness, services, and quality standards are met
  • Follows local health department laws
  • Stocks cook, line, and server areas with appropriate glasses, silverware, and dishes
  • Maintains excellent organization, speed, and cleanliness
  • Brings equipment and facility problems to the attention of the manager
  • Knows and follows position responsibilities as they relate to just-in-time delivery
