Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned American casual dining restaurant chain specializing in seafood. Founded over fifty years ago as a family-owned business, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved institution with more than 500 locations. The company prides itself on delivering high-quality seafood dishes in a warm, welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy memorable meals with friends and family. Its commitment to quality service, fresh ingredients, and community involvement has made it a preferred dining choice for seafood lovers across the United States. Red Lobster is also known for its iconic Cheddar Bay Biscuits and its dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
The Dishwasher/Utility role at Red Lobster is critical to maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the restaurant. This position involves cleaning and sanitizing all dishware, utensils, cookware, and glassware used during service, ensuring that the kitchen and dining areas remain spotless and well-maintained. The role requires operating dishwashing machinery safely and effectively and managing waste disposal throughout the restaurant. Beyond typical dishwashing duties, this position supports the culinary team by assisting with food preparation and other tasks as needed, such as helping with the preparation of Red Lobster's signature Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Teamwork and a customer-focused mindset are essential in this role, as every decision made should prioritize both the guests' dining experience and the smooth functioning of the team.
Working at Red Lobster offers numerous benefits, including competitive weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and affordable medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week. Employees also gain access to life insurance, short-term disability insurance, and voluntary benefits. After one year of service, team members become eligible for a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions. The company also recognizes employee milestones through anniversary pay and provides discounted meals during shifts and when dining as a guest. Furthermore, Red Lobster invests in employee growth by offering comprehensive training and opportunities for career advancement, encouraging team members to build long-term careers within the organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are hardworking, detail-oriented, and eager to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Red Lobster values inclusivity and equal opportunity employment, making it a welcoming workplace for people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The physical aspects of the job require the ability to stand for extended periods and safely handle lifting tasks, which are all supported with reasonable accommodations if needed. Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a family that not only serves delicious seafood but also cultivates a positive work culture and community connections. With exciting plans for the future, now is a great time to be a part of the Red Lobster family and contribute to its ongoing success.
