The role of Dishwasher/Utility at Red Lobster is an essential position that contributes to maintaining the restaurant's high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency. This full-time role involves ensuring that all dishware, glassware, cookware, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized properly to support smooth kitchen and dining operations. In addition to dishwashing, the utility responsibilities include keeping all areas of the restaurant clean and hygienic, managing waste disposal, and assisting kitchen staff with food preparation tasks such as making the restaurant's signature "Cheddar Bay Biscuits." The ideal candidate will operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently, work cohesively with team members, and always maintain a customer-focused mindset.

Job Requirements

  • must meet minimum age and be authorized to work in the United States
  • ability to bend, reach, squat, and safely lift up to 30 pounds
  • capacity to stand for 8 to 12-hour shifts
  • ability to work well in a team environment with attention to detail
  • able to follow cleaning and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous dishwashing or kitchen utility experience preferred
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • strong team player with good communication skills
  • attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is a plus

Job Duties

  • clean and maintain all restaurant areas
  • clean and sanitize all dishware, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils
  • operate dishwashing and other equipment safely and correctly
  • empty all kitchen and other area trash
  • support cooks with prep work and preparation of Cheddar Bay Biscuits as needed
  • focus on team and customers in all decisions
  • follow all cleaning and safety protocols
