The Utility Worker position (Job Code 201 E&S) plays a crucial role in the airline catering team's daily operations. The primary responsibility is to clean and organize dishes, glassware, trolleys, trays, and other airline equipment efficiently and quickly while adhering to strict sanitation standards outlined by the company as well as USDA, FDA, and HACCP guidelines. The individual in this role will contribute significantly to maintaining a clean and safe work environment, minimizing contamination risks, and supporting the overall catering process by ensuring all equipment and utensils are sanitized and prepared for use. Additional duties include receiving and sorting items for catering carts, which requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to operational changes rapidly. This role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift and push heavy items up to specified weights and work in varied temperature environments. Moreover, the utility worker must be prepared to work flexible shifts around the clock, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on shift bid results.
