With a portfolio of renowned brands, one of which is Aloft Hotels, Marriott offers vibrant, modern, and innovative environments for both guests and employees. Aloft Hotels are designed to be more than just places to stay—they serve as lively hubs for connection and creativity, blending contemporary design with a welcoming personality that resonates with diverse guests, whether they are visiting for business, family, or leisure. Marriott’s philosophy emphasizes equality and opportunity, ensuring a work atmosphere where every team member can thrive, contribute, and feel valued. This dedicated approach makes Marriott a preferred employer in the hospitality sector.
The role available is a full-time, non-management position located at Aloft Boston located at 401 D St, Boston, Massachusetts. The position pays between $31.29 and $33.07 per hour and involves essential food and beverage support duties with a strong focus on cleanliness and organization. The core responsibilities include operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, hand-washing stations, pot sinks, and waste compactors. The role also demands washing and disinfecting kitchen and storage areas, utensils, knives, and other kitchen equipment to maintain high sanitary standards. Attention to detail is critical for inspecting, sorting, and managing clean and dirty items, as well as organizing clean dishes appropriately. Receiving and properly storing deliveries, rotating perishables, and ensuring the designated storage areas are maintained are also key functions.
This position calls for physical stamina, including the ability to lift, move, and transport objects up to 50 pounds, and the dexterity to reach, bend, and stand for extended periods. Promoting safety is paramount, with requirements to follow company safety policies, report hazards, complete safety training, and protect company property. Communication skills and the ability to foster positive workplace relationships are vital to supporting a collaborative and efficient team-oriented environment. Furthermore, candidates should be adaptable, ready to perform other reasonable tasks as directed by supervisors.
No previous experience or educational certifications are required for this entry-level position, making it accessible to a wide range of applicants, including those new to the hospitality industry. Marriott International values diversity and actively celebrates different backgrounds, ensuring equal opportunity employment without discrimination. Joining Aloft Hotels means becoming part of a dynamic team within a globally operative, respected company committed to the growth and well-being of its associates. This role provides a solid foundation for individuals aiming to embark on or advance their careers in the hospitality sector within an inclusive and supportive work setting.
