Known for its commitment to quality care, patient safety, and employee development, Livingston HealthCare offers a supportive work environment where team members are valued and encouraged to excel. This facility includes an integrated approach to healthcare, encompassing patient care, food services, and other essential support functions to maintain high standards throughout. As a healthcare provider, maintaining a clean and safe environment in all departments, including the kitchen and food service areas, is paramount to ensuring patient well-being and satisfaction.
The Dishwasher position at Livingston HealthCare plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen operations by cleaning and sanitizing dishes, cookware, and other kitchen supplies. This full-time (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week) position operates on a variable day schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing stable work hours with a robust benefits package and competitive compensation starting at $20.00 per hour, with pay dependent on experience. The Dishwasher is responsible for operating dishwashing machines or hand washing items to maintain cleanliness and sanitation, organizing and distributing clean and dried items, and cleaning cooking and food storage areas. Proper disposal of trash, including cooked or raw food items, ensures adherence to health and safety standards.
Beyond the essential cleaning duties, this role provides valuable support during busy periods in the kitchen and aids with some basic food preparation tasks when needed. The position requires a strong commitment to maintaining a sanitary environment in compliance with Livingston HealthCare's Standards of Excellence and health department regulations. Employees are also expected to cross-train in other kitchen areas to ensure flexibility and help cover shifts as necessary, enhancing teamwork and operational efficiency.
As part of the healthcare food service team, candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, proficiency in using routine kitchen equipment, and good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively coordinate with other staff members. Preferred qualifications include current ServSafe certification and experience in healthcare food services, cooking, baking, and cashier duties. Working at Livingston HealthCare means becoming part of a mission-driven team focused on delivering excellent patient care through all facets of service, including the essential task of keeping the kitchen clean and orderly. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic work environment, values cleanliness and organization, and wants to contribute to the health and safety of the community through their role in food service support.
