Job Description
Red Lobster is a prominent seafood restaurant chain that has been delighting customers with its fresh and flavorful dishes for over fifty years. Founded with the vision of connecting people through exceptional seafood and coastal experiences, Red Lobster prides itself on being more than just a dining destination — it is a community cornerstone where guests come together to enjoy their favorite meals and create lasting memories. With over 500 locations, the company has grown from a single family-owned restaurant into a large family of restaurants that extend warmth, hospitality, and quality service to every guest seated at their tables. The restaurant’s commitment to excellence is reflected not only in its food but also in its dedication to fostering an inclusive workplace where employees can thrive and grow.
At Red Lobster, the role of Dishwasher/Utility is vital to maintaining the cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant. This position involves a variety of responsibilities focused on ensuring that all dishware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen areas are spotless and sanitized, contributing to the overall safety and quality of the dining environment. The Dishwasher/Utility team member will play a crucial supportive role by handling important cleaning tasks efficiently and safely, which allows other members of the restaurant staff, such as cooks and servers, to perform their duties seamlessly. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for those interested in the hospitality industry, offering flexible schedules and competitive weekly pay. Employees also benefit from insurance options starting at less than $10 per week, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, among other valuable benefits such as life insurance, short-term disability, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company contributions after one year of service.
The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. As a Dishwasher/Utility employee, you will also assist with food preparation tasks like helping with Red Lobster’s signature "Cheddar Bay Biscuits," ensuring all waste is properly disposed of, and adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols. The restaurant values each decision made by its team members to be considerate of the guest experience and the cohesiveness of the team. The physical demands of the position include standing for long periods and safely lifting up to 30 pounds, making physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment essential qualities for prospective candidates.
Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a dynamic team passionate about seafood and exceptional service, with great career advancement opportunities. The company emphasizes training and development, encouraging employees to grow within the organization. Red Lobster is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and creating an inclusive work environment where individuals of all backgrounds feel welcome. If you are motivated, reliable, and eager to contribute to a fun and supportive restaurant atmosphere, the Dishwasher/Utility role at Red Lobster is an ideal place to launch or continue your career in hospitality.
