The College of New Jersey is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to join the Sodexo team on a full-time basis, offering an hourly wage ranging between $15.13 and $15.25. This role is crucial to maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in all food production and service areas. The Dishwasher will play an essential part in supporting kitchen operations by cleaning and maintaining equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage areas while assisting with basic set-up and break-down tasks as needed. This position requires flexibility concerning workdays and shifts, with open availability preferred to accommodate varying schedules. As a Dishwasher at Sodexo within The College of New Jersey, the successful candidate will be responsible for handwashing or machine-washing dishes, cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces and kitchen equipment using approved chemicals, sweeping and mopping floors, removing trash to designated areas, restocking supplies such as soap and paper towels, and fulfilling any additional cleaning duties as required by client or business needs. Physical requirements include the ability to walk or stand for extended periods, engage in mobility activities such as bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and occasional heavy lifting up to 50 pounds. Punctuality and regular attendance are vital components of this role. No prior related work experience is necessary, though a high school diploma or equivalent is required, alongside basic knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety principles.
