The role of Dishwasher/Utility at Red Lobster offers a vital position that supports the overall dining experience by ensuring cleanliness and smooth kitchen operations. As a Dishwasher/Utility team member, you will be responsible for maintaining all the restaurant areas clean and orderly, handling the washing and sanitizing of dishes, utensils, glassware, cookware, and kitchen tools using proper safety protocols. Operating the dishwashing equipment and other cleaning machinery safely and efficiently is a key part of the job. This role requires teamwork as you will support cooks with food preparation tasks, including making Red Lobster's signature Cheddar Bay Biscuits and assisting as needed to help the team provide excellent customer service. In addition to routine cleansing tasks, the position demands physical stamina and dexterity to bend, reach, squat, and lift up to 30 pounds safely while standing for extended shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours. Job Requirements
- Must meet minimum age and be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to bend, reach, squat, and safely lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hour shifts
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Commitment to following cleaning and safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Ability to safely operate dishwashing and kitchen equipment
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is a plus
- Strong communication skills
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain all areas of the restaurant
- Clean and sanitize all dishes, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
- Operate the dishwasher and other equipment safely and correctly
- Empty all kitchen and other area trash
- Work as a team supporting cooks with prep work, making Cheddar Bay Biscuits, and other tasks as needed
- Focus on your team and customers, making decisions that consider both
- Follow all cleaning and safety protocols
