The company is known for fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace where diversity is celebrated and every individual is valued. Sodexo believes in empowering its workforce to bring their best selves forward, enabling personal and professional growth through continuous learning and development opportunities. The company offers a flexible, supportive work environment designed to balance the demands of work and life, recognizing and accommodating the importance of family and personal commitments.

The role of Dishwasher at Sodexo, specifically within the OrthoIndy Hospital location, is a part-time position offering an hourly rate between $15.00 and $16.50. This role is primarily scheduled for afternoon and evening shifts, with specific days varying and further details provided during the interview process. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen and facility operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in food production and service areas. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, walls, and storage spaces to meet sanitary standards. You will also be responsible for transporting and storing supplies, restocking cleaning materials and disposables such as soap and paper towels, and assisting with basic kitchen set-up and break-down tasks. This is an active job requiring mobility throughout the shift, including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Sodexo emphasizes that this position, while having some core responsibilities such as washing dishes by hand or using dishwashing machines, cleaning worktables and equipment, sweeping and mopping floors, and managing waste disposal, might also involve additional duties unique to the specific account or client needs. The ideal candidate will bring a basic knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety concepts, possess a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience, and demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.

Working at Sodexo translates into more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to be part of something greater, where your everyday actions contribute towards a collective well-being and a better everyday life for others. Employees have access to a broad array of benefits supporting their health, financial security, and professional development. Sodexo is committed to fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging, promoting fair treatment and equal opportunities for all employees irrespective of their background or characteristics protected by law.
