Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established seafood restaurant chain with a rich heritage that dates back over fifty years. Originally starting as a family-owned restaurant, its vision has always been to provide guests with a unique connection to seafood and the coastal experience. Today, Red Lobster boasts over 500 restaurants, each reflecting the passion and dedication of its founders. The company prides itself on being more than just a dining or working venue, emphasizing its strong ties to the communities it serves. Each restaurant acts as a gathering place where new friendships blossom into familiar, lasting relationships. As a part of this family, employees are not only contributors to memorable dining experiences but also valuable members of a community-focused team.
The Dishwasher/Utility role at Red Lobster is a critical position that supports the overall function and cleanliness of the restaurant. This full-time position offers weekly pay and competitive wages, along with flexible scheduling to accommodate various personal and professional needs. The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to cleanliness and safety standards to ensure a positive experience for both customers and staff.
As a Dishwasher/Utility team member, you’ll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the restaurant, including washing dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Operating dishwashing machines and equipment safely and correctly is an essential part of this role. Taking out trash, assisting kitchen staff with prep tasks such as making the restaurant's signature Cheddar Bay Biscuits, and maintaining all areas of the restaurant are additional duties.
Red Lobster supports its employees by providing medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service. Employees also receive anniversary pay, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as guests. Moreover, the company offers training and career advancement opportunities designed to help employees grow and develop within the organization.
Working at Red Lobster means being part of a team-driven environment where focus on customers and colleagues is key. Each decision made on the job is made with the client and team in mind, and safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain a secure workspace. The physical demands of the job include standing for 8 to 12 hours, bending, reaching, crouching, and being able to safely lift up to 30 pounds, making it important that candidates meet these requirements to succeed.
Red Lobster is committed to equal employment opportunity and strives to maintain an inclusive workplace free from discrimination based on age, race, color, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. The company believes that its greatest strength lies in its diverse team members and is proud to be an employer that celebrates and welcomes diversity. There has never been a better time to join the Red Lobster family as it evolves and looks forward to a bright future together.
