The Dishwasher position at WellQuest Living community is a critical role responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation within the kitchen and dining areas to ensure a safe and pleasant environment. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, this role involves a variety of duties including transporting dishes from meal areas to the kitchen, washing and sanitizing all kitchen utensils and dishware, and ensuring that all items are stored properly after cleaning. The Dishwasher also assists with basic food preparation and tray deliveries, supporting the kitchen efficiently during meal preparation and service hours.

This position demands a strong focus on sanitation, organization, and cooperation with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the food service process. The Dishwasher must maintain cleanliness standards not only in the dish room but also in common areas such as dining rooms, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains. The role is also customer-facing at times, requiring friendly and tactful interactions with residents, families, and visitors, helping to promote a positive community atmosphere.

Flexible scheduling is part of the role, with days and hours to be discussed during the interview process, allowing for adaptability to meet community needs. This role requires at least 16 years of age and a successful criminal record clearance. While there is no specific formal education requirement, previous experience in food service or kitchen maintenance is beneficial.
