Job Description
Maggiano's Little Italy is a renowned Italian-American restaurant that prides itself on delivering an authentic dining experience steeped in tradition and family values. Founded by industry pioneer Norman Brinker, it introduced the concept of casual dining that combines quality food with a welcoming atmosphere, distinguishing itself from the typical fine dining and fast food options available in the past. Located in Chicago and now part of Brinker International, a company known for its commitment to great food, excellent service, and a positive work environment, Maggiano's maintains its status as a beloved destination for guests seeking a slice of Italian-American heritage along with memorable dining experiences.
The Dishwasher role at Maggiano's is vital to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and sanitation that contribute to the overall guest experience. As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for washing and sanitizing all food service utensils, glassware, plateware, pots, and pans, ensuring that every item used in the kitchen and dining room upholds the restaurant's reputation for excellence. This role requires dedication to helping the kitchen team operate efficiently, supporting the chefs and cooks by providing a clean and organized environment. The Dishwasher is part of a dynamic kitchen team that includes executive chefs, sous chefs, pastry cooks, line cooks, and prep cooks, all working in unison to create culinary masterpieces.
Working at Maggiano's means embracing "The Maggiano's Way," a philosophy focused on bringing people together to celebrate family and friendships through food and hospitality. The kitchen environment is fast-paced and demanding but also rewarding, offering opportunities for career growth, including global training roles and tuition assistance. Maggiano's encourages its team members to be proactive contributors to a supportive culture that values teamwork and community involvement. Employees benefit from competitive earning opportunities, healthcare plans including domestic partner benefits, 401(k) savings plans with company match, rewards and recognition programs, and various discounts on dining and other lifestyle needs.
Beyond the kitchen, Maggiano's is committed to giving back to the community by supporting organizations like the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the North Texas Food Bank. It also fosters a culture of care through the Brinker Family Fund, aimed at assisting team members in times of need. This ethos of generosity and family extends to its workforce, positioning Maggiano's as not only a place to work but a place to belong and grow. For anyone who values good food, excellent service, and a team-oriented, supportive workplace, the Dishwasher position at Maggiano's represents an entry point into a rewarding career in the hospitality industry. The company celebrates diversity and is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to workplace fun and satisfaction, making it an excellent destination for those seeking to combine hard work and enjoyment in their professional lives.
