Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned seafood restaurant chain with a rich history that began over fifty years ago as a family-owned business. It was founded on the vision of providing people with a special connection to seafood and the coast. Over the decades, Red Lobster has grown into a family of more than 500 restaurants, each embodying the founding passion of delivering memorable dining experiences. The company prides itself not only on serving delicious food but also on being an integral part of the communities it serves. For Red Lobster, every seat is more than just a place to eat; it is an extension of family where new friends become familiar faces. They focus on providing exceptional customer service and a warm atmosphere where every guest feels valued and appreciated.
Currently, Red Lobster is looking to expand its team by hiring Dishwashers/Utility workers who will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and efficiency of the restaurant environment. This role offers competitive weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and an inclusive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, and other voluntary benefits. Additionally, they provide a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year of service, anniversary pay, discounted shift meals, and a 25% discount for eating as a guest. Employees also have access to training and career advancement opportunities, making it a promising career path beyond an entry-level position.
As a Dishwasher/Utility, the employee will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the restaurant, ensuring all dishes, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils are properly sanitized. They will operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently, manage waste removal by emptying trash from kitchen and other areas, and support kitchen staff with preparation tasks including helping prepare Red Lobster's signature Cheddar Bay Biscuits. The role demands teamwork, attention to detail, and a focus on both the team and the customer, ensuring every decision and action contributes positively to the dining experience and the work environment. Strict adherence to cleaning and safety protocols is mandatory to uphold the restaurant's standards.
Physical requirements for this job include meeting minimum age and work authorization standards in the United States, the ability to bend, reach, squat, and safely lift up to 30 pounds, and the stamina to stand for 8 to 12-hour shifts. The work environment is fast-paced, and teamwork is essential to success. Reasonable accommodations are available to support individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. Red Lobster takes pride in being an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a welcoming workplace for everyone regardless of age, race, color, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status.
Embracing a future of growth and innovation, Red Lobster continues to strengthen its team and improve its restaurant experiences. There is no better time to become a part of the Red Lobster family and contribute to a company dedicated to quality, community, and career development.
