The Utility Team position within this prestigious community plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards necessary for delivering a superior dining experience to residents and guests. Reporting to the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Utility Lead, individuals in this role are responsible for executing dishwashing and kitchen cleaning tasks in accordance with specific directions and schedules. By ensuring that all dining equipment and kitchen fixtures are spotless and sanitary, the Utility Team contributes significantly to the overall health and satisfaction of the residents. This position demands attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation protocols. Members of the Utility Team are expected to actively participate in team meetings and emergency preparedness activities, reinforcing a safe and efficient working environment. Additionally, they may be called upon to train and support new team members, demonstrating leadership qualities within the back-of-house operations. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year’s dishwashing and/or commercial kitchen cleaning experience within hospitality and culinary-focused environments preferred
- Possession of any current state-sanctioned regulatory Food and Alcoholic Beverage Licenses required for working in food, beverage, and health services environments
- Ability to adhere to sanitation and safety standards
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Capacity to follow instructions and work under supervision
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and dishwashing tasks
- Strong attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year’s dishwashing and/or commercial kitchen cleaning experience within hospitality or culinary-focused environments preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning and dishwashing protocols

Job Duties
- Perform dishwashing duties as assigned by the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and Utility Lead
- Clean fixtures and equipment in all kitchens and assigned areas regularly following directed cleaning schedules
- Adhere to established Dining Services policies and procedures
- Attend all team meetings and required events
- Remain knowledgeable of emergency procedures and act calmly in emergencies
- Follow specific standardized dishwashing and cleaning processes as directed by leadership
- Keep supervisors informed of any potential problems
- Lead by example in food safety and sanitation
- Train newly hired and transitioned utility team members as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
