This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and safety standards of Live Oak’s food services, which directly impacts the daily operational success and well-being of all employees and customers. The position is responsible for ensuring that all dishware, silverware, cooking pots and pans, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to meet or exceed sanitation guidelines. This includes careful handling of all kitchen items to prevent damage, maintaining all dishwashing equipment in good working order, and restocking cleaning supplies as necessary. The job demands a high level of dedication to hygiene, a proactive approach to identifying and addressing mechanical issues, and close attention to detail to ensure a safe and pleasant dining environment within the bank’s facilities. The role also requires the physical ability to perform various manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods in a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen setting.

Job Requirements

  • Able to work flexible hours, occasionally evenings
  • Knowledge of sanitary guidelines
  • Have working knowledge of dish machine specifications and operation

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitizing of dishware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
  • Handle china and glassware carefully to prevent breakage
  • Maintain cleanliness and good working order of dish room and dishwashing equipment
  • Notify kitchen manager of any mechanical or functional issues
  • Monitor and maintain back stock of detergents and cleaning supplies
  • Load, run, and unload dish machine
  • Monitor water temperature, detergent, sanitizer, and rinse levels to ensure proper sanitary wash cycles
  • Routinely remove trash, recycling, and compost throughout day from kitchen, dining room, and patio
  • Monitor bus tubs and maintain soap and sanitizer buckets
  • Restock clean and dry service ware, utensils, pots and pans
  • Perform additional tasks as requested
  • Breakdown, clean, and sanitize dish machine at end of day
  • Sweep and mop dish room
  • Follow and complete opening and closing checklists
