Job Duties

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwasher and hand-washing stations
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, storage rooms, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
  • Receive deliveries, properly store perishable goods, and rotate stock
  • Ensure clean dishware is stored in appropriate areas
  • Use chemical detergents, disinfectants, and rinse agents in three-compartment sink for dishwashing
  • Inspect, remove, stack clean items, and return dirty items for re-washing
  • Place all items on racks and spray with hot water to loosen and remove food residue
  • Sort, soak, wash, and rewash cutlery
  • Separate and sort containers for dirty items
  • Empty trash bins and maintain waste disposal areas
  • Clean and mop assigned department areas
  • Dispose of glass in designated containers
  • Break down cardboard boxes and recyclables for recycling
  • Comply with company safety policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete safety training
  • Protect company property
  • Communicate professionally and clearly
  • Develop positive work relationships and support team goals
  • Meet quality standards
  • Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
