Job Description

First Watch is a leading daytime dining restaurant renowned for its commitment to serving made-to-order breakfast, brunch, and lunch using the freshest ingredients available. Established with the philosophy of "Follow the Sun," First Watch offers a chef-driven menu that rotates multiple times per year to highlight the highest-quality flavors at their peak. The menu features elevated versions of classic breakfast and brunch favorites, fresh juices such as the popular Kale Tonic, and signature dishes like the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Quinoa Power Bowl, and the famous Million Dollar Bacon.

With over 630 restaurants across 32 states, First Watch has earned numerous accolades for its food and workplace culture. It has been voted #1 Best Breakfast by Newsweek's Readers' Choice Awards for 2025 and named the #1 Most Loved Workplace in America in both 2024 and 2025 by the Best Practice Institute, recognition recently highlighted in The Wall Street Journal. First Watch's dedication to quality, hospitality, and community is evident not only in its culinary excellence but also in its philanthropic efforts. For every kid's meal served, First Watch donates a portion to community-focused organizations, raising approximately $2 million to date.

First Watch is committed to a "YOU FIRST" philosophy, prioritizing its employees with no night shifts and a fully chef-curated menu, supporting a workplace culture where employees are empowered to make decisions that ensure exceptional dining experiences for guests. This dedication extends to a comprehensive list of employee benefits designed to foster well-being, professional growth, and work-life balance.

Our Back-of-the-House team members play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of quality and service that define First Watch. As a Cook, you will be trained in a specific kitchen station that matches your skills and comfort level, with no prior mastery required in every cooking technique. The role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and dedication to preparing safe and delicious food following award-winning recipes and using only the freshest ingredients. Maintaining a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen station is essential. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy contributing to a fast-paced, friendly kitchen environment.

First Watch strongly supports diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer. The company complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act and offers reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities. This welcoming approach ensures that all employees have the opportunity to thrive in their roles while contributing to the success and reputation of First Watch as a leader in daytime dining.
