Job Description

Cracker Barrel is a cherished American restaurant and retail establishment that has been a beloved gathering place since 1969. Known for its warm hospitality, delicious home-style food, and unique retail offerings, Cracker Barrel creates an inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy abundant servings and find unexpected treasures. With a footprint nationwide and a family of over 70,000 team members, Cracker Barrel is a company deeply rooted in tradition, community, and a commitment to impeccable service. The organization prides itself on serving more than just meals; it serves moments of connection and comfort that make guests feel at home. The culture at Cracker Barrel emphasizes teamwork, respect, and a shared pride in quality and service, making it an ideal workplace for individuals who value belonging and growth in a supportive, people-first environment.

The Dishwasher role at Cracker Barrel is integral to the seamless functioning of the kitchen and overall guest experience. As a Dishwasher, you will be the dependable force ensuring that every pot, pan, fork, and plate is meticulously cleaned and ready for service. This role goes beyond just washing dishes — it is about contributing to the efficiency and rhythm of the kitchen, which in turn supports the entire restaurant’s operations. The position requires someone who can multitask effectively, maintain organization in a fast-paced setting, and take pride in their work to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Cracker Barrel welcomes individuals with or without restaurant experience, as comprehensive training is provided to guarantee success from day one. The company offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $15.00 to $16.13 and provides same-day pay access to ensure employees feel valued and supported financially. This role is available for full-time and part-time employment, reflecting Cracker Barrel’s commitment to providing flexible opportunities to suit various life circumstances.

Employees at Cracker Barrel benefit from a robust compensation package that extends well beyond wages. Health insurance eligibility begins on the very first day of employment for both full-time and part-time team members. Additional benefits include vacation time, an employee assistance program, and numerous opportunities for career development through industry-leading training programs like the PAR training program. After 90 days, employees can participate in a 401k plan with company matching contributions and an Employee Stock Purchase Program, supporting long-term financial wellness.

Cracker Barrel fosters a culture of belonging where support starts immediately, promoting a work environment where every team member can thrive. Onboarding, ongoing training, and development initiatives are designed to help employees expand their skills and grow their careers within the company. Recognition programs and regular employee events further enhance community spirit and workplace satisfaction.

Unique perks such as a 35% discount on Cracker Barrel food and retail items and exclusive discounts on home, travel, cell phones, and more, enrich the employee experience. This role invites individuals who are organized, purpose-driven, team-oriented, and eager to contribute to a well-oiled kitchen operation to apply and join a company that values their contribution and supports their growth.
