Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned restaurant chain with over fifty years of history in delivering a unique dining experience focused on seafood and coastal flavors. Founded on the vision of creating a special connection between guests and the flavors of the sea, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved establishment with more than 500 locations serving communities across the country. At its core, Red Lobster is more than just a place to eat; it is a community gathering spot where new friends become familiar faces and where the passion for quality seafood and exceptional service is a shared mission.
Joining the Red Lobster team means becoming part of a family dedicated to excellence and hospitality. Employees are valued for their contributions and offered competitive wages with weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision plans starting at less than 10 dollars per week. The company supports its people with life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match after one year of service. Further recognition comes in the form of anniversary pay for eligible staff, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25 percent discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster also provides career training and advancement opportunities, encouraging employees to grow and build a long-lasting career within the organization.
The role of Dishwasher/Utility at Red Lobster is vital to maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the restaurant. This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the restaurant, ensuring sanitation standards are met by properly cleaning dishware, flatware, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. The Dishwasher/Utility safely operates dishwashing equipment and other kitchen machinery and manages trash disposal in the kitchen and surrounding areas. Additionally, the role supports the kitchen team by assisting with food preparation tasks such as prepping ingredients and making Red Lobster's signature Cheddar Bay biscuits.
A successful Dishwasher/Utility team member at Red Lobster works collaboratively with cooks and other staff while keeping the guest and team experience at the forefront of every decision. Adherence to strict cleanliness and safety protocols is essential to ensure a safe and welcoming dining environment for guests and a positive working environment for team members.
Physical demands for this role include the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds safely, as well as maintaining the stamina to stand and move about the restaurant during an 8 to 12-hour shift. Culinary experience is preferred but not mandatory, and applicants must meet the minimum age requirement and be authorized to work in the country of employment. Red Lobster values diversity and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that welcomes and supports employees from all backgrounds. Joining Red Lobster now means being part of a company with ambitious growth plans, a strong community focus, and a commitment to team members' success and well-being.
