Job Description

Seattle Hockey Partners, LLC and Seattle Arena Company, LLC operate in the realm of professional sports and entertainment, notably as the organization behind the Seattle Kraken, the NHL franchise recognized for its commitment to excellence both on and off the ice. The Kraken organization prides itself on building a championship team that not only drives competitive success but also deeply engages with fans, community partners, and business relationships. The organization is known for its strong brand presence since its inception in 2018 and for playing in the Climate Pledge Arena, which holds distinction as the most sustainable arena in the world. This unique sports and entertainment environment emphasizes inclusivity, sustainability, community engagement, and fan experience, all central to the company's mission and culture. The team's commitment extends beyond sports, demonstrated by their One Roof Foundation which promotes equity and sustainability, supporting vulnerable youth and community members. Additionally, the Kraken Community Iceplex serves as a hub for local sports activities and community programs, further highlighting the organization’s commitment to societal impact.

The Dishwasher role at this thriving sports entertainment venue plays a vital support function to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization essential to the venue's kitchen and restaurant operations. This position demands efficiency in dishwashing, use of kitchen equipment, and assistance with various other tasks such as setup, cleanup, food prep, table bussing, and equipment maintenance. The candidate will also act as an ambassador for the Kraken Community Iceplex, a community-oriented facility, bringing passion for sports and entertainment, especially hockey and ice sports. The job requires handling various kitchen duties safely and hygienically while ensuring the workspace remains clean and well-stocked. Essential duties include operating dishwashing equipment safely, washing items by hand when needed, maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, routine trash removal, assisting staff, and maintaining proper personal conduct as per training guidelines. The role involves teamwork across departments and requires accurately completing shift records and payroll documentation. Preferred candidates will come from a background of working in a full-service, high-volume restaurant setting, possess effective communication skills, time management abilities, and a commitment to guest service. Up-to-date food handler certification is necessary. The working conditions may challenge candidates with confined spaces, temperature extremes, and require physical activities such as bending, lifting, and extensive walking. The position offers a competitive wage starting at $21.30 per hour in compliance with Washington's equal pay laws, with actual pay based on experience. Other benefits include company-paid Orca cards and free on-site parking. Seattle Hockey Partners and Seattle Arena Company champion diversity, equity, and inclusion as key components of their business strategy, encouraging applicants of varied backgrounds and experiences to apply, even those without prior hockey knowledge.
