Job Description

Seattle Hockey Partners, LLC and Seattle Arena Company, LLC are the esteemed organizations behind the Seattle Kraken, the National Hockey League's (NHL) newest and most exciting franchise. Established in 2018, the Seattle Kraken have quickly become one of the most recognized and beloved teams in the NHL, thrilling fans with their high-energy, world-class sports and entertainment offerings. Playing home games at Climate Pledge Arena, the most sustainable arena in the world, the Seattle Kraken strive to provide fans with unforgettable experiences every game night. Beyond just hockey, the organization is deeply committed to community engagement, equity, and sustainability through initiatives like the One Roof Foundation and the Kraken Community Iceplex. The Kraken Community Iceplex not only serves as the team's official practice facility but is also a vibrant community hub offering skating and hockey programming accessible to people of all ages and skill levels. The company culture revolves around core values such as Winning Matters, Fans Come First, and Make Us Better, fostering an inclusive environment that emphasizes performance, respect, teamwork, and diversity. The Seattle Kraken is an equal opportunity employer that embraces diversity and inclusion in hiring to ensure opportunities for all individuals regardless of their background or experiences. They encourage people from varied walks of life to apply even if they are new to hockey or the sports entertainment industry, recognizing the value that different perspectives and talents bring to their success.

This position is for a Dishwasher role within the Kraken Community Iceplex restaurant. The primary focus of this role is to ensure all dishes are thoroughly cleaned quickly and efficiently while supporting other restaurant operations such as setup, cleanup, food preparation, table bussing, and equipment maintenance. The dishwasher will operate all kitchen and dishwashing equipment safely, wash items by hand when necessary, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment free of debris and water. Deliveries will need to be restocked promptly, and trash and debris removed routinely to maintain smooth and sanitary operations. As an ambassador for the Kraken Community Iceplex, the dishwasher should have enthusiasm for the sports entertainment setting, particularly hockey and ice-related sports, and foster a sense of teamwork with other departments. Adherence to grooming and conduct standards as outlined in the employee handbook is essential. This position requires the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced and high-volume kitchen setting. The dishwasher role includes completing shift records such as payroll and scheduling requests and must work under varied and sometimes extreme conditions including confined spaces, temperature fluctuations, and extensive physical activity like bending, lifting, walking, and standing for long periods. Shift schedules will require flexibility including availability nights, weekends, and holidays.

The role offers a competitive wage in accordance with Washington's Equal Pay and Opportunity Act with an expected pay rate of $21.30 per hour, though actual compensation will depend on individual experience and job factors. Additional benefits include a company-paid Orca card for public transit and free on-site parking, supporting employees' commuting needs. The Seattle Kraken's commitment to an inclusive, respectful, and high-performance work environment ensures that employees are valued and empowered to contribute to the team's ongoing success and community impact.
