This position, Dishwasher, is part of the Food and Beverage department and reports directly to the Restaurant General Manager. The Dishwasher plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils used throughout the restaurant, kitchen, and banquet areas. Working in a commercial kitchen environment, the dishwasher is responsible for operating the dishwashing machinery efficiently, ensuring all equipment meets the proper temperature and sanitation standards necessary for safe food service. This role is especially vital to the smooth operational flow of the kitchen, as cleanliness and hygiene are paramount in food preparation and service.

The dishwasher’s daily tasks include not only handling kitchenware but also assisting in general kitchen maintenance. This includes cleaning floors, mats, and walls, taking out trash, and assisting with unloading shipments and stocking items. Given the physical nature of this job, candidates must be comfortable standing for long periods, lifting heavy items up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions such as bending and squatting. Job Duties

  • operate and maintain dish washing machine
  • wash all china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
  • breakdown boxes and empty trash into dumpster
  • clean kitchen walls as appropriate
  • clean floor mats, sweep and mop entire kitchen floor daily
  • assist in cleaning ovens and refrigerators regularly
  • unload shipments, date items, and stock shelves
