The role of Dishwasher/Utility at Red Lobster is vital to ensuring the smooth operation and cleanliness of the restaurant. Individuals in this position are responsible for maintaining sanitary conditions by cleaning and sanitizing all dishware, flatware, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Operating dishwashing machines and other equipment safely and correctly is a key responsibility, as is emptying trash from the kitchen and other designated areas. Dishwashers also assist the kitchen team by supporting cooks with prep work and helping prepare the restaurant’s signature Cheddar Bay biscuits. Every task is performed with the goal of supporting the team and enhancing the guest experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen and dining areas.
Successful candidates must demonstrate physical stamina, as the position requires bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds safely, as well as standing for 8 to 12-hour shifts. Experience in a culinary environment is preferred but not mandatory. Teamwork, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities are essential traits for excelling in this role.
