Job Description
Waltonwood is a senior living community dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching environment for residents. Known for its compassionate care and commitment to quality, Waltonwood is recognized for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where residents can thrive. The community emphasizes more than just a place to live; it aims to offer a lifestyle that promotes wellness, comfort, and social engagement. Members of the Waltonwood team take great pride in their roles, each contributing to an environment that prioritizes the needs and happiness of every resident. The Culinary Department at Waltonwood plays a crucial role in enhancing residents' daily experiences by delivering nourishing, delicious meals served in a warm and inviting setting. The department understands the importance of mealtime as a vital part of each resident’s day and is committed to providing a memorable dining experience that promotes both well-being and enjoyment. The dishwasher position is an essential role within this department, ensuring that the kitchen area remains clean, safe, and sanitary at all times. By maintaining high standards of cleanliness for all kitchenware—including china, glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils—dishwashers behind the scenes contribute directly to the quality of the residents’ culinary experiences. This role demands attention to detail and thoroughness, as well as the ability to work efficiently to meet the needs of the kitchen and the culinary team. Dishwashers must be proactive in their responsibilities, including sorting and rinsing dishes, operating dish machines, hand-washing certain items using specified soaps and methods, and ensuring the kitchen floor and stockrooms are properly cleaned and sanitized. They are also responsible for reporting any hazardous situations to culinary supervisors promptly, helping to maintain a safe environment for all kitchen staff. This position requires a strong work ethic, dependability, and an eagerness to collaborate with co-workers to uphold community standards. Punctuality and regular attendance are critical, as is a willingness to support colleagues beyond the scope of typical duties. Dishwashers contribute to the overall team effort that helps create a positive, respectful atmosphere for residents and associates alike. This role offers a blend of physical activity and responsibility within a vibrant team-oriented workplace. Ideal candidates are those who thrive under structured sanitation protocols, appreciate the value of teamwork, and are committed to delivering excellence in every task they perform. If you take pride in your work, pay close attention to detail, manage your time effectively, and have a strong focus on customer satisfaction, you will find this role both fulfilling and impactful. To join Waltonwood means to be part of a community that values service, integrity, and dedication to enhancing the quality of life for seniors through every aspect of their dining experience and beyond.
