Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior dishwashing or kitchen stewarding experience preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • physical ability to lift heavy items
  • willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices
  • reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Duties

  • Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using dish machines or by hand
  • ensure all cleaned items are properly dried and stored in their designated areas
  • empty trash bins, separate recyclables, and ensure proper disposal of waste
  • maintain cleanliness of dish stations, sinks, and surrounding areas
  • sanitize workspaces regularly
  • keep floors clean and dry to prevent slips and falls including back walkway areas
  • help with basic food prep tasks such as peeling vegetables or setting up workstations
  • monitor dishwashing machines and report any malfunctions to a manager
  • ensure dishes are properly stored, clean tables, and sweep and mop floors in the employee dining room
  • uphold and role model the company’s principles of People, Place, and Character
  • collaborate with culinary leadership to provide the best guest experience
  • take pride in work by adhering strictly to sanitary guidelines
  • work in an organized fashion respecting equipment and workspace
  • demonstrate a professional sense of urgency in maintaining kitchen cleanliness
  • understand workflow and maintenance in stewarding department
