The role of Dishwasher at the Jasper Hotel is integral to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency vital to the culinary and hospitality experience. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs, the Dishwasher plays a critical role in supporting the kitchen's smooth function by ensuring all china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment are sanitized and well-maintained. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior dishwashing or kitchen stewarding experience preferred
- ability to stand for extended periods
- physical ability to lift heavy items
- willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices
- reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using dish machines or by hand
- ensure all cleaned items are properly dried and stored in their designated areas
- empty trash bins, separate recyclables, and ensure proper disposal of waste
- maintain cleanliness of dish stations, sinks, and surrounding areas
- sanitize workspaces regularly
- keep floors clean and dry to prevent slips and falls including back walkway areas
- help with basic food prep tasks such as peeling vegetables or setting up workstations
- monitor dishwashing machines and report any malfunctions to a manager
- ensure dishes are properly stored, clean tables, and sweep and mop floors in the employee dining room
- uphold and role model the company’s principles of People, Place, and Character
- collaborate with culinary leadership to provide the best guest experience
- take pride in work by adhering strictly to sanitary guidelines
