Job Description

Outback Steakhouse is a renowned Australian-themed restaurant that first opened its doors in March 1988. As part of the Out West Restaurant Group, the largest franchisee of Outback Steakhouse, it embodies a unique culture that balances a serious passion for food with an environment where fun and camaraderie thrive. This establishment takes great pride in offering an extraordinary dining experience to its guests while fostering a workplace culture centered on respect, enthusiasm, and opportunities for career growth. Outback Steakhouse has earned recognition for its commitment to excellence, including the International Franchise Association's Franchisee of the Year Award in 2022, highlighting its exceptional community service and dedication to local engagement. The company's philosophy revolves around treating people "Just Right," believing that success naturally follows when employees and customers alike are valued and respected. Joining Outback means becoming part of a team known as "Outbackers," where each individual is supported, trained to the highest standards, and encouraged to contribute meaningfully to the team's overall success.

The role of Dishwasher at Outback Steakhouse is an essential position contributing directly to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and organization critical to the restaurant’s operations. As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and small wares are impeccably clean, properly sanitized, and ready for use, meeting all state-required rinse and wash temperature criteria. Additionally, you will manage trash disposal and linen bag removal, ensuring the kitchen and dining areas remain safe and tidy at all times. This role requires a keen understanding of proper dishwashing procedures, including the operation of dish machines and the handling of chemical components. Maintaining food safety and sanitation standards is paramount, alongside tasks such as restocking kitchen supplies and assisting in general cleaning duties throughout the restaurant. Your contribution directly impacts the guest experience, as clean plates and silverware provide the perfect presentation for Outback's signature dishes, enhancing each customer's dining experience.

This position is ideal for individuals seeking a dynamic work environment where teamwork, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are valued. Outback offers a supportive atmosphere where you can develop your skills in back-of-house operations, gain experience in a full-service restaurant setting, and be part of a company that values its employees' wellbeing. The Dishwasher role presents opportunities for growth and advancement within the organization, complemented by competitive benefits including health, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, life insurance, and meal compensation benefits once eligible. Employees receive a paid day off after completing 90 days of employment, underscoring the company’s commitment to employee care and recognition. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that combines professional responsibility with a friendly and enjoyable workplace culture, this role at Outback Steakhouse offers the perfect opportunity to grow your career while contributing to a fun and highly regarded restaurant brand.
