The company places a strong emphasis on delivering quality food in a fun and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring every guest has an exceptional dining experience. Out West Restaurant Group embodies the Outback Steakhouse spirit by prioritizing the well-being and development of its employees, who are affectionately referred to as "Outbackers." The company culture is rooted in respect, camaraderie, and a commitment to excellence. This nurturing atmosphere encourages growth and enthusiasm among team members, fostering a workplace where employees are treated with fairness and given opportunities to reach their full potential.

The role of a Kitchen Staff member, often termed as an Outbacker, is a vital part of ensuring that the restaurant delivers its promise of quality and service. Additionally, this role involves teamwork, as collaboration with other restaurant areas is essential for meeting business needs.

Out West Restaurant Group offers several benefits and a hospitable culture that recognizes hard work and leadership potential. Employees who meet ACA measurement rules are eligible for comprehensive health insurance including medical, dental, and vision coverage. Paid sick leave complies with California laws, and employees receive a paid day off after 90 days of employment. The company actively promotes growth through its Shift Leader program with extensive on-the-job training, providing clear pathways for career advancement. The workplace culture values employee well-being by offering a flexible schedule, meal discounts, and an Employee Assistance Program. The restaurant also closes on major holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas to allow employees to spend quality time with their loved ones. As part of their commitment to equal opportunity and regulatory compliance, Out West Restaurant Group adheres strictly to all applicable California wage and hour laws and provides reasonable accommodations as required by law.

This job is suitable for individuals seeking a dynamic and engaging environment where they can have fun while building a rewarding career. The company is proud of its achievements, including being ranked among the Top 50 Franchisees in the U.S. for four consecutive years as part of the Monitor 200 Awards and receiving the International Franchise Association’s Franchisee of the Year Award in 2022 for excellence in community service.
