The Dishwasher/Utility position at Red Lobster is a vital role focused on maintaining the cleanliness and overall operational flow of the restaurant kitchen and dining areas. As a Dishwasher/Utility team member, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all dishware, flatware, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils; operating dishwashing equipment safely; and ensuring that trash removal tasks are completed efficiently. Beyond these duties, you will support kitchen staff by assisting with prep work, including the preparation of Red Lobster’s signature Cheddar Bay biscuits, and help maintain a clean and functional workspace.
This position demands physical stamina and the ability to stand for long shifts, often ranging from 8 to 12 hours. Candidates should be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive movements such as bending, reaching, and stooping. While previous culinary experience is preferred, a willingness to learn, strong attention to detail, and the desire to contribute positively to the team are equally important.
