The role of Dishwasher at Kingsley Manor is a vital position within the Food Service team. Reporting to the Director of Dining Services or Executive Chef, the Dishwasher plays a crucial part in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, tableware, and cooking equipment. This part-time role offers an hourly wage ranging from $20.25 to $22.00, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking flexible employment in a supportive environment. The Dishwasher is responsible for operating the dish machine, maintaining a clean and organized dish-room, and adhering strictly to health and safety guidelines. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to the team’s success in delivering outstanding dining service to residents, families, and staff. The Dishwasher also supports overall kitchen operations by cleaning food preparation areas and filling in as necessary to ensure smooth service.
Working as a Dishwasher in this setting involves operating in a fast-paced, loud, and busy environment where standing for extended periods is common. Employees are expected to follow all federal, state, and local food handling policies, wear required safety equipment, and participate in safety programs. This role not only contributes to the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen but also significantly impacts the overall dining experience by ensuring a steady supply of clean tableware. The position requires a Food Handlers' certification from the local health department and some high school education. While prior experience is not essential, it is beneficial. The successful candidate will demonstrate reliability, safety awareness, and dedication to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
Kingsley Manor values its employees and provides opportunities for growth and development within the organization. As part of a dynamic team, the Dishwasher will have access to ongoing training and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. This role offers more than just employment; it offers a chance to be part of a respectful and caring community that prioritizes the health, comfort, and happiness of its residents. Candidates who join Kingsley Manor can expect a supportive workplace culture that encourages teamwork, respect, and professionalism. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to contribute to a mission-driven organization while gaining valuable experience in food service operations.
