Blakehurst is currently seeking a Full-time Utility Worker (Dishwasher) to join their dedicated team. This full-time position requires 40 hours per week, including availability for every other weekend, with a competitive pay range of $15.75 to $17.75 per hour. As a Utility Worker specializing in dishwashing, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of kitchen operations. You will be responsible for washing dishes, pots, and utensils, setting up and organizing dishwashing areas, and supporting kitchen sanitation by cleaning work surfaces and equipment. Additionally, you will handle the storage of food and non-food supplies and manage trash removal. This role is essential in ensuring that the kitchen environment is hygienic, organized, and fully prepared to meet the needs of the residents.

The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment and takes pride in performing essential tasks that contribute to the overall success of the community’s dining services. You will work under the supervision of kitchen management and should be able to follow established cleaning schedules and procedures. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to pass preemployment screening process which includes a fitness for duty physical criminal background check drug test and employment references
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
  • Ability to set up and operate dishwashing equipment
  • Must be able to work full time 40 hours per week including every other weekend
  • Must maintain safe and sanitary working conditions
  • Ability to attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned

Job Duties

  • Performs under the direction of supervisory personnel dish and pot washing general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies
  • Sets up the dish and pot washing area
  • Prepares for dishwashing and washes pots dishes and utensils
  • Distributes and stores clean pots dishes and utensils
  • Cleans and sanitizes production equipment work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures
  • Empties trash containers as required
  • Maintains standards for personal appearance and cleanliness
