The role of Dishwasher/Utility at Red Lobster is integral to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and efficiency that the restaurant is known for. This position is a key support role within the kitchen, focused on cleanliness and sanitation, as well as assisting with food preparation tasks. As a Dishwasher/Utility team member, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all areas of the restaurant, ensuring all dishware, flatware, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils are sanitized properly. Operating dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently will be a critical part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will support the cooks with prep work and help in the preparation of the restaurant's famous Cheddar Bay biscuits.
This role demands someone who is attentive to detail, able to multitask, and dedicated to upholding safety and cleanliness protocols. Employees are expected to work as a cohesive team to create an environment where guests and team members alike feel valued. The physical nature of the job requires the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds safely, and the stamina to stand and move throughout an 8 to 12-hour shift. - Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the restaurant
- cleaning and sanitizing all dishware, flatware, glassware, pots, pans and cooking utensils
- safely and correctly operating the dishwasher and other equipment
- emptying all trash in the kitchen and other areas
- working as one kitchen, by supporting the cooks with prep work, preparation of Cheddar Bay biscuits, and other tasks as needed
- focusing on your team and guests, making decisions with the guest and team in mind
- following all cleanliness and safety protocols
