Southworth is currently seeking to hire a Dishwasher who will play a vital role in the culinary team at one of its prestigious clubs. As a Dishwasher, you will be responsible for maintaining impeccable cleanliness of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and hygienically. This role is essential in supporting the delivery of the best dining experience to members and guests by managing dishwashing equipment, organizing kitchenware, and assisting kitchen staff with basic preparation tasks when necessary. The position also demands adherence to strict health and safety standards that comply with sanitation regulations. The Dishwasher will help maintain a clean and safe working environment by handling waste disposal according to club policies and performing housekeeping tasks such as sweeping and mopping kitchen floors.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in a kitchen or similar environment preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to health and safety standards
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under supervision

Job Duties

  • Ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and stored appropriately
  • Operating dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely
  • Sorting and organizing dishes, glassware, and utensils for efficient use during service
  • Assisting kitchen staff in basic food preparation tasks when needed
  • Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors to maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Disposing of kitchen waste and recycling in accordance with club policies
  • Adhering to health and safety standards to uphold sanitation regulations
  • Collaborating with culinary and service teams to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Following instructions from supervisors and taking on additional tasks as required
