Job Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of professional kitchen experience, culinary training preferred
  • Experience should include dishwashing, prep/cooking, and expediting
  • ServSafe training certification preferred or must complete training prior to going on line
  • Ability to follow food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible working hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of professional kitchen experience, culinary training preferred
  • If lacking experience, entry-level positions such as dishwasher or prep cook available with career growth potential
  • ServSafe training certification preferred or complete certification through Cinepolis
  • Proficiency in kitchen operations and execution
  • Working knowledge of U.S. measurements, weight, and volume
  • Ability to follow instructions on safe use of chemical and cleaning materials
  • Effective teamwork and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong time management to meet deadlines
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle food products frequently
  • Good communication skills with support personnel and management
  • Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations positively
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus but not required
  • Flexible availability including holidays and weekends

Job Duties

  • Prepare menu items accurately and promptly when ordered through point of sale system
  • Make only items ordered through the point of sale system and uphold integrity
  • Accommodate special guest requests with management approval
  • Prepare dishes according to recipes to maintain quality and consistency
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food is served simultaneously and timely
  • Remake items when instructed by supervisor or manager
  • Adhere to food handlers safety guidelines including temperature control, labeling, and avoiding cross contamination
  • Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes and cleaning work areas
  • Restock dry products and prep materials throughout the shift
  • Use FIFO system to keep food fresh and reduce waste
  • Maintain accurate waste logs for discarded items
  • Keep supervisor and kitchen manager updated on inventory levels
  • Maintain positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Follow safe work practices including use of protective equipment and proper lifting techniques
  • Lock and secure food and equipment
  • Follow all opening, mid and closing procedures
  • Attend trainings and meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
