Dishwasher - 2nd Shift

UWM is currently looking to hire a Dishwasher for the 2nd shift under the University Staff category, specifically working in the Food Service Dishwasher role. This is a regular employment position offering competitive hourly wages ranging from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour. The Dishwasher position plays an essential part in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the dining facilities at UWM. The person in this role will be responsible for managing the dishroom operations during the second shift, which typically runs Monday through Friday from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm, with weekend and evening availability required. This flexible but tentative schedule ensures that all dining services continue smoothly and efficiently throughout operational hours.

The Dishwasher will collaborate closely with students, student managers, and other limited-term employees, providing oversight and training when necessary to maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards. This vital role requires the employee to operate dishwashing equipment, maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dishroom equipment, and ensure proper storage and inventory organization within the stockroom or warehouse. Additionally, the Dishwasher may be responsible for setting up and moving equipment and furniture for dining events, making it a dynamic position that supports a variety of campus activities.
