Operating worldwide, Sodexo offers a wide range of services including food service, catering, facilities management, and other integrated solutions that contribute to the economic, social, and environmental progress of its partner organizations. The company values diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering a culture where every employee is respected, valued, and empowered to be their authentic selves. Sodexo's core mission is to create a better everyday experience for everyone, building a better life for all through purposeful actions and a commitment to sustainability and community impact.
This role is for a Dishroom Lead at Sodexo located at Corban University. The position is full-time with work shifts primarily in the mornings on varying days, including some weekends and holidays. The pay range for this role is competitive, between $17.50 and $21.50 per hour, reflecting the importance of the leadership responsibilities and the commitment to excellence in kitchen operations.
As a Dishroom Lead, you will serve as a vital team unifier and solutions driver within Sodexo's culinary operations. This leadership role entails oversight and direction of dishroom employees, ensuring that all kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils are maintained to stringent cleanliness and operational standards. Your daily responsibilities will impact both your colleagues and the customers served, creating a seamless and efficient kitchen environment. Your leadership will promote a nurturing and safe workplace where team members are encouraged to thrive and collaborate effectively.
The Dishroom Lead plays a senior role, providing guidance, training, and support to other staff members while coordinating workflow to meet the demands of high-volume food service operations. Key tasks include maintaining cleanliness of dishroom areas and kitchen surfaces, washing dishes and utensils both manually and through machines, and managing the organization of supplies and equipment. You will also oversee waste management, including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of garbage in designated areas.
To excel in this position, candidates should bring adaptability, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset, prioritizing safety and hygiene as foundational values. A minimum of one year of related experience is expected to successfully manage the responsibilities of this role. Sodexo supports its employees by offering a flexible and supportive work environment that values life balance, ongoing training and development opportunities, and a robust benefits package to support overall wellbeing.
Working at Sodexo means joining a company that not only values your work but also your growth and well-being. Employees benefit from comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision plans, paid time off and holidays, tuition reimbursement programs, and retirement savings options such as a 401k. Additional perks may include free or subsidized meals, uniforms, safety equipment, and transportation assistance depending on the worksite.
Sodexo's commitment to equal employment opportunity ensures that all individuals, regardless of race, gender, age, disability, or other protected classifications, have the chance to contribute meaningfully and advance within the company. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while making a tangible difference in operational efficiency and client satisfaction. If you are passionate about creating clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen environments and enjoy leading teams to success, this position could be the perfect fit.
