The position available is for a Dish Room Attendant within the Wash & Pack category. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards by handling washable items such as trays, bowls, plates, cups, glasses, and silverware. The starting pay rate for this position is $22.00 per hour, highlighting the company’s effort to offer competitive wages to attract capable individuals. As a Dish Room Attendant, you will be responsible for sorting washable kitchen and dining items, loading them onto dishwasher conveyor belts for cleaning, and properly retrieving and storing these items according to customer-specific diagrams or guidelines. This job is physically demanding and involves working in an environment with temperature fluctuations, noise, and industrial cleaning chemicals. You must be prepared to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies frequently during your shifts, often exceeding 50 pounds. Shifts are varied and may include weekends, holidays, and the potential for overtime, reflecting the nature of the airline catering industry’s operational needs.

Job Requirements

  • Work assigned schedule which may vary and could include weekends and holidays
  • Work overtime when required
  • Arrive to work on-time
  • Comply with company policies
  • Complete paperwork and related administrative duties
  • Able to lift, push, pull, and move up to fifty pounds frequently during shifts
  • Able to work standing, bending, lifting intermittently during 8+ hour shifts
  • Willingness to be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise
  • Able to handle chemicals and industrial cleaning materials

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred
  • Up to one-year experience preferred
  • Current U.S. driver’s license
  • Able to read and write to complete required forms
  • Effective communication skills with supervisors and co-workers

Job Duties

  • Separates washable items trays, bowls, plates, cups, glasses, silverware
  • Places items on the dishwasher conveyor belt to be washed
  • Retrieves items from the belt and stores as required, may include packing to customer diagrams
  • Follows directions
  • Works as a member of a team
  • Additional duties as assigned by management
