The role of a Dishroom Team Member, or Ruby Krewe member, is an essential part of keeping the restaurants running smoothly and ensuring a consistently clean and safe kitchen environment. Contrary to popular belief, no prior restaurant experience is necessary to apply, making this a great entry-level opportunity for individuals eager to work in a dynamic food service setting. The main responsibility is to wash and clean all tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment effectively and efficiently to support kitchen operations.

Dishroom Team Members are expected to maintain order and cleanliness in the dishroom by loading, running, and unloading the dishwashing machines, as well as ensuring these machines stay clean and are functioning properly. They must be vigilant in reporting any mechanical or safety issues immediately to maintain a safe working environment. Candidates must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment that may be hot, wet, humid, and loud for extended periods. Additionally, they need to be capable of lifting heavy loads, including bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 50 pounds, and standing for up to 10 hours during their shifts.
