This opportunity is for the position of Dish Person at Perkins, a part-time role that plays a vital part in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of the restaurant’s kitchen. The Dish Person ensures dishes, silverware, glassware, and kitchen utensils are cleaned thoroughly and prepared for daily operations. This role requires attention to hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards to support the kitchen staff and servers effectively. Job Requirements

  • Must have high level of mobility and flexibility
  • Must be able to work irregular hours under heavy stress and pressure during peak times
  • Must possess a high level of coordination
  • Must lift and carry up to 50 pounds for distances up to 30 feet
  • Must be able to fit through an opening 30 inches wide
  • Requires frequent reaching bending pushing and pulling
  • Exposure to heat steam smoke cold and odors
  • Requires continual standing and walking

Job Qualifications

  • Basic skills such as sanitation safety and customer service taught through in-house training
  • Must be able to communicate clearly

Job Duties

  • Reports to work well-groomed in clean and proper uniform and practices good personal hygiene
  • Rinses and arranges soiled dishes silverware and glassware into washer trays
  • Soaks scrubs and sanitizes preparation containers and pans manually
  • Loads trays into dishwasher removes dishes silverware and glassware from washer trays and stocks for kitchen personnel and servers
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
  • Monitors and oversees food temperatures during hot and cold food handling to reduce risk of food borne illness
  • Performs general maintenance of floors including mopping and vacuuming at end of work shift
