Job Description

Our establishment is a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation. Committed to delivering quality service and a spotless environment, our team plays a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction through precise and thorough maintenance of kitchen and dining facilities. We believe that a clean and safe environment is integral to the overall success and reputation of our restaurant, catering to a diverse clientele in a bustling setting.

We are currently seeking a Dish Machine Operator (DMO) to join our dedicated team. This role involves responsibility for ensuring all dishes used in both the kitchen and dining room are cleaned and sanitized to the highest possible standard, supporting the smooth operation of our kitchen staff and the satisfaction of our guests. The DMO will be essential in maintaining the functionality and cleanliness of dishwashing equipment, adhering to strict food safety protocols, and contributing to the upkeep of a clean and presentable facility. This position can be either full-time or part-time, offering flexible work schedules to accommodate different availabilities.

The ideal candidate for the DMO role must have a keen attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. They will report directly to our Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, Lead Cook, or Manager on Duty (MOD), working under their supervision to fulfill opening, closing, and regular side work duties. Key responsibilities include ensuring the dish machine operates correctly across all cycles, managing chemical usage appropriately by following guidelines, and proactively communicating with both back of house and front of house supervisors to efficiently address and resolve any issues that arise during shifts.

This role demands physical stamina, as the employee will be required to stand for extended periods, lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and perform various motions such as pushing, pulling, twisting, kneeling, or crouching. A current Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card is also required, reflecting the necessity for compliance with local food safety standards. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and capable of enduring active shifts that span up to 9 hours.

Our commitment to equal opportunity employment means we welcome candidates from all backgrounds without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital or veteran status, sexual orientation, medical conditions, or any other legally protected status. All hiring practices comply strictly with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws. This role is non-exempt, recognizing the importance of fair labor standards and employee protections.

Joining our team as a Dish Machine Operator means becoming an integral part of a restaurant environment that values cleanliness, efficiency, and teamwork. You will contribute to the essential behind-the-scenes operations that ensure every guest has a positive experience with our food and service. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced setting and take pride in maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness, this position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and skill development within a reputable restaurant.
