The Dish Machine Operator (DMO) role is integral to the kitchen operations at Anthony’s, providing essential support by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware used throughout the restaurants. This position requires operating commercial dishwashing machines efficiently and safely while upholding strict health and safety standards. Job Requirements

  • Ability to safely operate commercial dishwashing equipment
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Attention to detail
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • Previous commercial kitchen or food service experience
  • Familiarity with health department sanitation requirements
  • Basic mechanical or troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Food safety or sanitation certification

Job Duties

  • Operate dish machines to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and equipment
  • Inspect items for cleanliness and rewash as needed
  • Keep dishwashing areas clean and organized, including sinks, counters, and floors
  • Monitor machine performance and report maintenance issues promptly
  • Assist with organizing and storing clean kitchenware
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper chemical handling
