The role of Dish Machine Operator (DMO) is a vital part of the kitchen operations at Anthony's restaurants. This position involves supporting the kitchen by ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety. The Dish Machine Operator will be responsible for operating commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently, managing the dishwasher area to keep it clean, safe, and organized, and helping to uphold overall sanitation and operational efficiency within a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role requires physical stamina to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and handle lifting duties of up to 50 pounds. Attention to detail is critical to ensure that all kitchenware is spotless and meets health department standards. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices and demonstrate reliability through punctual attendance and dedication to their responsibilities. Additionally, experience in commercial kitchens or food service, familiarity with health department sanitation requirements, and basic mechanical skills are preferred qualifications that will help the candidate effectively contribute to the team. Job Duties
- Operate dish machines to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and equipment
- Inspect items for cleanliness and rewash as needed
- Keep dishwashing areas clean and organized, including sinks, counters, and floors
- Monitor machine performance and report maintenance issues promptly
- Assist with organizing and storing clean kitchenware
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper chemical handling
